The pack was developed in response to a growing need for clear, practical tools that would guide staff in understanding and implementing education work in emergencies. Through engagement with Country Programmes, an effort was also made to identify common principles and viable approaches to be used as the basis for future response. In providing a framework and practical tools, the pack is primarily aimed at field staff responsible for setting up and managing education projects during a crisis. The resource may also be used by those leading the overall emergency response, or those writing proposals, planning training or conducting evaluations.
