The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted almost all groups, including adolescents, and it has deepened preexisting inequalities, exposing vulnerabilities in social, education, and economic systems. At the onset of the pandemic, the Population Council in Kenya partnered with the Presidential Policy and Strategic Unit (PASU) and the Kenyan Ministry of Health to address the government's data needs and to support a data-driven national COVID-19 response. PASU commissioned this report in an effort to understand the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on adolescents in Kenya. It features the voices, words, and personal perspectives of girls and boys who are part of advisory groups in Nairobi, Kisumu, Kilifi, and Wajir counties, where the data were collected. The data and recommendations that emerge will be used to inform public messaging, support policy action, and create national guidance.
