The UNESCO Regional Education Support Strategy to Respond to UNESCO Regional Education Support Strategy to Respond to COVID-19 and Beyond in Asia and the Pacific (2020−2021) serves the following two purposes: Purpose1: Provide an overview of guiding principles, strategic actions, and concrete approaches of the UNESCO Asia and Pacific Regional Bureau for Education in supporting Field Offices and Member States in the Asia and Pacific region in responding to, and mitigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on education. Purpose2: Provide internal guidance for UNESCO entities in the Asia and Pacific region, including through a framework of actions that responds to education-related impacts of COVID-19 and beyond.
